By participating in the Walk the Talk events, you agree to the following terms:
The Village of Park Forest and Shakeinah "Ninah" Davis-Williams are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or health issues that may occur during or as a result of participating in these events.
Participants agree to walk at their own risk and are responsible for their own health and safety during the walks. PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR PROPER CLOSED-TOE FOOTWEAR TO WALK.
If you feel faint, experience an allergic reaction, asthma attack, or any other health concern during the walk, you must immediately alert Ninah Davis-Williams and pause your participation in the walk to dial 9-1-1 to reach the proper authorities to assist.
It is the responsibility of each participant to determine, with the advice of their medical professionals if necessary, whether they are physically fit and healthy enough to safely participate in this event.
By joining and participating in the Walk the Talk events, you automatically agree to this policy in accordance with Illinois state law and Park Forest local ordinances.
This waiver of liability extends to any and all activities associated with the Walk the Talk events.
Participants are encouraged to bring any necessary medications (such as inhalers or epinephrine auto-injectors) and are responsible for their own medical needs.
In case of emergency, Walk the Talk organizers will contact emergency services, but are not responsible for any costs incurred.
Only certified service dogs are welcome at Walk the Talk events. This policy is in place to consider the comfort and safety of all participants, including children and individuals who may experience a fear of dogs.
